with a little time clean under my belt, however, there may be less urgency to my program. and there is. i finally get the chance to write on a JFT that only comes around every four years or so. this is truly one that i forget even exists, and it is ironic that this reading only pops up in leap years, after all the honest truth is that this sort of reminder needs to come to this particular addict a little more often.
so it goes…
so anyhow it is true that with some time clean i have discovered there is quite a bit less urgency to my program, and yes i have started to believe that there is not that much more for me to learn. and as a result ii find myself pulling away from the program. oh i still work steps, occasionally, i still call my sponsor every now and again, and i still go to two or three meetings a week, but there is still less urgency to my program as the most obvious symptom of my disease has been alleviated, that is the uncontrollable urge to use drugs. so anyhow the reminder to remain teachable is a good one, and one i will attempt to make part of my daily program, it is after all all about today.
