α how will i know when i have had a spiritual awakening? ω

for me, my spiritual awakening came gradually. my first spiritual awareness was as simple as a new appreciation for life, but like many of the major events in my recovery, i was oblivious to this happening. so it goes …
… anyhow, here i sit, pondering the nature of spiritual awakenings, and wondering exactly what form the next one will take. next one? that is correct, for me, this is a process of events, the longer i stay clean, the more diligently i live the program, and the more aware i become of myself, my program and the world around me, the more my spirit awakens. the real question is not how can i tell, but more of what is new. and even that is begging the question, perhaps i need to let go of needing to know the shape of my spiritual awakenings, and just work on fostering the growth of my spirit and allow the results to become evident in the manner in which i live. sounds simple, but hardly easy for this addict.
well i have sh*tloads of work to get done this fine saturday, so off oto the showers and into the world of being an adult and practicing the spiritual principle of responsibility.
