...that started when i stopped using, and grows stronger each day i apply the steps in my life.
well here is sit this morning, recovering from my trip yesterday and finally catching up on all the work that piles up when i take a weekday off. the feeling of something new about to be revealed, has not lessened over the past twenty-four hours, but i have yet to discover or uncover it, whatever the case may be.
that being said, the reading this morning , at least on the surface, spoke to me about carrying the message, and although that is true, i heard something on a different level. i heard about gratitude rather than commitment or repayment.
what i felt this morning after i read this passage, was that i can be grateful for the gift of a spiritual awakening, or awakenings that have occurred across the course of my recovery, and out of that gratitude, carry the message to the still suffering addict through the instrument of a TWELFTH STEP.
so anyhow, i need to hit the streets, get some errands done and fix a few problems with my work. so yes, i am just phoning this in today, and perhaps as the day progresses, i will have more to say.

☯ The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao ☯
by Lao-Tse
Translated by James Legge
Book 2
1) Man at his birth is supple and weak; at his death, firm and strong.
(So it is with) all things. Trees and plants, in their early growth,
are soft and brittle; at their death, dry and withered.
