the recovery of other addicts.
confession time. when i first read this entry all those days ago, i NEVER would have believed that i would still be reading this after so many days clean. had self-will ruled when the sword was lifted, sitting on a bus to Denver, typing a blog, would not have been my reality, much less finding joy in watching others recover. i am grateful that when that event occurred, i was deep enough in the recovery process, that i GET to live today and have the life i have. there is a catch, however, being part of this process, means there is pain in watching someone in the grips of relapse, just waiting for the moment when using feels like a good idea. i currently know and care for an few addicts who are in that sad state, BUT until they invite me to help, i am powerless top do anything but be a spectator.
there is one addict i need to call out today:

☯ The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao ☯
by Lao-Tse
Translated by James Legge
Book 1
2) All things depend on it for their production, which it gives to
them, not one refusing obedience to it. When its work is accomplished,
it does not claim the name of having done it. It clothes all things
as with a garment, and makes no assumption of being their lord;--it
may be named in the smallest things. All things return (to their root
and disappear), and do not know that it is it which presides over
their doing so;--it may be named in the greatest things.
