first off, thanks to all those who celebrated clean time with me last night, and those who celebrated our clean time with us last night, it truly was something more than i expected, the feelings that is, not the celebration.
moving forward, well today is the start of another cycle for me. today i get to be a part of my life and an active participant, not just an observer. the biggest part of that change is that today, i am more than a fragile, closed-down being, merely surviving the storms of life. yes i was very brittle when i got to the rooms, and that fragility was not suddenly gone, the day i decided not to use. it was not suddenly lifted the day that i decided i was dipping in the wrong well to get my recovery. it was not even lifted the day i became a member of the fellowship, but all of those events triggered the changes within me, that started the process of learning how to survive the storms of life and bend with the winds those changes bring.
i am more than a bit distracted this morning, so walking away for a minute may be just the ticket to get rolling again.

okay back from the dentist office, new crown in place and trying to get my a$$ rolling with work.thinking about how far out of my plan, i am now at, i wonder if back in the day, i would ever been able to recover. i certainly know that i would have been feisty, grumpy and suffering like some time martyr. bending to the whims of the day, was not my thing. today? well, today i am a bit rushed and anxious, but ready to roll on back to the next task.
it is a great day to be clean, and i really need to shut this down, so i can get back into the flow of things.
so long and thanks for all the fish!

☯ The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao ☯

THE TAO TEH KING, OR THE TAO AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS
by Lao-Tse
Translated by James Legge

Book 2

2) Tao when nursed within one's self,
His vigour will make true;
And where the family it rules
What riches will accrue!
The neighbourhood where it prevails
In thriving will abound;
And when 'tis seen throughout the state,
Good fortune will be found.
Employ it the kingdom o'er,
And men thrive all around.
