next step

the journey down the path of recovery starts with taking the step that is front of me, whatever it happens to be at this moment. what a thought! all i have to do is identify the next right thing to do and do it. no problem, right? identifying that next right step is the crux of my problem. i often get so caught up in the problem, whatever it happens to be today, that i lose sight of any part of the solution and end-up doing nothing.
i do have some conscious contact with GOD, and i have worked a step or two, but all that seems to be inaccessible in my time of confusion. for me, i need to talk with someone who has more experience, read our literature, and step back and BREATHE. the spiritual principles of this program will guide me in the correct direction, if i let go of self-will and the lie that i actually KNOW something and once again achieve that state of willingness and open-mindedness. in other words, accept that i am exactly where i am supposed to be and do what happens to be right there, regardless of what i believe.
just for today, i will allow the principles of this program to guide me down the road of recovery.

Book 1
3) Therefore he who would administer the kingdom, honouring it as
he honours his own person, may be employed to govern it, and he who
would administer it with the love which he bears to his own person
may be entrusted with it.
