↔ obsession with self was rooted in the very ground of my life. ↔

in recovery, how do i root self-obsession out?
well for one, i start by learning how to practice what the reading calls goodwill. and no not by donating my clothes to the thrift shop with that name, although come to think about it....
what the reading speaks to is that i need to learn how to make myself of service, instead of demanding that i get served. i can do that in all phases of my life, at home, in the work place, and certainly in the fellowship that has given me this wonderful new life.
so it has been a hectic twenty-four hours and AROC as i am, i am having trouble resetting my routine today. well, i need to go serve my clients and make some money so i can be of service here at home. i will think about this over the course of the next couple hours and perhaps have more to say a bit later.

☯ The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao ☯
by Lao-Tse
Translated by James Legge
Book 2
1) That which is at rest is easily kept hold of; before a thing has
given indications of its presence, it is easy to take measures against
it; that which is brittle is easily broken; that which is very small
is easily dispersed. Action should be taken before a thing has made
its appearance; order should be secured before disorder has begun.
