a very interesting reading for me, especially after being part of a service event last week. for me, service was something i needed to do from the start. i did not have the luxury that those who are coming into the rooms of my home town today do. i had to serve or nothing would get done, and as i think back on that it was a very good thing to boost the little self-esteem i had at that time, although participating in area service at six months clean was almost enough to drive me away from the rooms forever.
but enough of that, being in the condition i was in way back then and being in the condition i am now, i still find service as a means to help me feel better about myself. in fact the time has come to go take care of my service responsibilties and face the day. if i get a chance i will write more later.
