of my imperfections, of which i have many, does not fail to escape me, each and every day. as someone who sees the absurdity of life in general, i also have a tendency to take myself far too seriously at times and good does of humor is certainly called for, before i go off the rails. what i fail to see much humor in these days, is the culture wars that are playing out daily across the headlines of every legitimate news-gathering organizations in the world, fueled by those who purport to different versions of the “truth,” proving all of Joseph Goebbels' theories about how to fool everyone into giving up their freedoms and liberties. his doctrine of telling the “Big Lies” repeatedly and loudly has been embraced by many that have partaken of the MAGA KOOL-ADE and who have come to believe that what they saw on Jan 6, 2021 was nothing to write home about.
oops, there is go again, deep-diving into politics. these days it seems to be the one thing i can find very little humor in, no matter how hard i try. what i am hoping is that a backlash from those who are just coming to age, forces Christian Nationalism to become and unpleasant footnote in history. i for one, do not want to live in a country where the thought police are monitoring every action looking for transgressions against their definition of GOD. injustice is rife everywhere, but the one demographic that is mostly unaffected is the Caucasian Christians and yet they shout the lie the loudest.
dang it, i just cannot come back to me today. i guess i was not really cognizant of how much i thought about this stuff and when i opened this Pandora's box this morning, i was overwhelmed. yeah, far too serious, is certainly not a bad moniker for me this morning. i guess before it gets too much hotter, i need to dress out in my workout togs and hit the streets. i made a choice this morning, to have breakfast before i went out, and yes like every other choice, there is a consequence or three. it is a good day to be clean and maybe as i sweat out a pound of water weight, i will be able to smile a bit,m chuckle a bit and let go of that which i have no power over, just for right now.
