for a spiritual path that i can call my own, would not be how describe the journey to arrive on the path that is my own today. fearfully hiding and actively denying would be a more apt description of my journey, but that is, of course, old news. today, i am more okay with being a bit “different” from my peers, in how i see the spiritual side of this recovery program. i am also, more than okay, sharing my experience with anyone who asks, provided they have worked STEP THREE and started on their journey to find a spiritual path. i no longer shy away from controversy and will be quite adamant that i do not see GOD in the way many of my peers do,. their right to their understanding of a HIGHER POWER is as sacrosanct as mine. i will, however, not allow certain sects to hijack a meeting, either with readings form their literature or prayers that are only found in those spiritual paths. it is the same thing that i scream about in civil society, that YOUR right to a spiritual path of your choice, ends when it gets to me. shoving it down my throat, or whining about how the world is warring against you, does nothing than make YOU smug and dissatisfied and make the rest of us, resistant and angry.

anyhow, getting back on the track, today i have been is nearly constant motion, since i got up from sitting, this morning. the sad part of all that activity, is that i still have stuff to do and places to go. just one of those days. what i do know this afternoon, is that i am okay with the hustle and bustle of today's outcome and there is plenty of time to accomplish what is left on my “to-do” list. it is a good day to be clean, in active recovery and on this side of the grass. time to mosey on to the next thing on my list.
