work Steps, experience freedom--and still, my addict thinking whispers that i ought to be rewarded for my selflessness. i know how messed up that sounds and as i have said in the past, there are no medals or lifetime achievement awards for serving my peers BUMMER! as i walk through my day, i am finding that it is easier to go with the flow and be of service than to bend the world to how i think it ought to be. it is weird that someone like me, should choose to serve, when all i ever wanted was to be served.
sitting here this afternoon, thinking about the anniversary celebration at my home group. i am struck by how long i have been supporting my home group. fourteen or so years, is amazing. i was never one to hang anywhere for any length of time and a Men's meeting, never seemed to be in the cards. when i consider that like a whole lot of things in my recovery, the willingness to try something, even out of convenience, turns out to be something i choose to repeat.
moving forward into the rest of my day, i am still playing around with AI imaging. this is coming to an end soon and i am at the point where messing around with this is getting old and redundant. hopefully by the end of this afternoon,i will have me looking the way i desire and be able to add in the additional details. it is my smirk that i am working on now and it keeps making me look fatter. oh well, back to the drawing board
