μ as a recovering addict and as a human being, i have much to learn. μ

other addicts -- and other humans -- have much to teach me about what works and what does not. the trick for me, is to admit and accept that as a fact of life. i could go into about how i thought i had all the answers when i came to recovery, but that is a long and boring treatise that i have been through that many times before.
so what i hear this morning is that i need to accept the source of knowledge as being external, and that i never know where something i NEED to know comes from. simple, elegant and without a doubt probably the most valuable piece of realization that this addict needs to know this morning. yes, i do have some answers, in fact i probably have more answers than i am willing to admit for fear of being in my character defects. but i hardly have all or even most of the answers, those will provide on a need to know basis, kind of like the federal government. oh yes, i would love to know all; the answers about life the universe and everything, but i can be satisfied with the understanding that knowledge is way beyond what i am capable of understanding, and what piece i do get to learn today is just what i needed.
so anyhow, it is off to a bit of brain training and into the showers, today is a day that i get to take care of myself!
