hear myself talk. i am a very reactive sort of person, which means that when i hear something, i want to instantly throw in my two cents worth, whether or not i really know what is being discussed at the time or i know anything about it. on top of that, i have a tendency to be cynically judgemental. those two attributes are the root of most of the corrective action of my daily TENTH STEP. as this trip wears on, i find myself, saying less and less, when i really want to say a whole lot more. daily, i get a lesson in letting go of what is not my stuff and not saying what i think, to THE person who seems to exhibit the same two fatal flaws as myself. remembering who i am and who i want to be, will carry me forward into this day, and perhaps i will be just a touch more positive, just for today.
