😣 perseverance 😣

helps me stay. of course, where exactly am i staying? well, i am staying clean, staying in recovery (NOTE: being clean and being in recovery are NOT the same thing) and i am staying connected to the fellowship that has given me the freedom to live as i do today. it is true that i have a recovery routine that i go through every day, as mundane as that may sound. i am certain though,m because i have that routine, i need not “persevere.” i never feel “as if” i am doing all that much work although many of my peers may see that what i do as onerous. i have just come to a place where i live my program starting with my routine and it works for me. if something is working, i see no reason to change it.
i could go into writing about my peers that have “relapse” in their recovery journey. i am not sure what good that would do, except to say that their actions and the consequences that were manifest, are certainly guideposts for what i do in my recovery. i can say that there have been many times in my recovery journey where i truly wondered if this recovery gig was paying off. i can say that just for today, it is and i will sign-off on that upbeat note.

2) The people are difficult to govern because of the (excessive) agency
of their superiors (in governing them). It is through this that they
are difficult to govern.
