α with arrogance gone, i would be one step closer to being restored to my proper place among others. ω

my support and guidance would come, if i chose, from the care offered us by my HIGHER POWER. so although this reading was about defects of character and one of the gifts that i could receive, if i choose to allow the care of a HIGHER POWER remove my defects of character and replace them with spiritual principles, what i heard and read was about one of those that still haunt me today, namely arrogance.
i know the payoff for acting out on arrogance, for me, it is the separation form those who know me the best or those who could offer me something i may not desire. the addict part that drives me, wants nothing more than to have be separated from those who will provide what i need to strengthen my recovery and grow. so i get to make a choice today, allow my HIGHER POWER to the work and care for me, or live in my addict behavior. my choice is to allow something GREATER to work, and now i must get on with what i need to do, after all, i also have work to do today!

and there ensued great hypocrisy.
