i need to spend time with other recovering addicts because they may detect our complacency before i do. working hard this morning, so it is time to take a break, write a bit and then go hide out in the smoke of a big cigar. so as i sit here and ponder over the warning signs of complacency, i am struck with the fact, that is an inventory that i should undertake a bit more often than on an annual basis. i can honestly say, that today, i am hooked into my recovery, i am doing those things that keep me clean, and have kept me clean, since i finally surrendered to the fact that i am an addict.
so i could go into that once again, or launch a tirade about others, but instead i think i will just move forward with me day, with a dep sense of gratitude that today i am an active participant in my program of recovery, and with the help of a loving HIGHER POWER, the chances are good that i will be again tomorrow.
