δ when others approve of what i do or say, i feel good; when they disapprove, i feel bad. δ

these opinions and they make me feel, can have positive value. **People-pleasing** is something else entirely. okay this has taken a bit of time to get going on this morning. i am way late, but it has been a full morning, eventful and far from serene.
so a quick breath before running to deal with the rest of my stuff.
ah people pleasing, seeking the approval of others to feel better about myself. i know this very well, as it has been one of the places i have lived in, during active addiction and during my recovery. it is one the places i choose to not dwell in today. this last step cycle has unearthed a wealth of treasure about how i use my choices to live in people-pleasing, and honestly i am coming to believe that most of the tension that i am feeling in some of my personal relationships comes from my previous life in people-pleasing behavior. i set those boundaries, i allowed those people to walk and stay there and now when i am finally growing to see how sick i can be, and it is becoming intolerable to me, i am growing up enough to say that it is unacceptable to me these days for people to go there.
so anyhow, i would like to write more, and perhaps i will, but before i can, i have to run a bunch of errands.
so off to the real world.
