i am responsible for what??
posted: Sun, Aug 8, 2004 04:29:52 PM
you mean to say that i cannot let my sponsor make my decisions for me? i cannot blame the program for my sh!tty life when i choose not to follow suggestions? i cannot whine and moan when things go badly because i choose to live in the problem?
actually i can do all the above but i will not grow or progress. i will remain right where i am, getting just what i have been getting -- everything i do not want: pain, misery and sicker.--
i do need to take the responsibility of my life and recovery into my own hands anddo the next right thing
whatever thst happens to be today

☯ The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao ☯
by Lao-Tse
Translated by James Legge
Book 2
4) Therefore the sage knows (these things) of himself, but does not
parade (his knowledge); loves, but does not (appear to set a) value
on, himself. And thus he puts the latter alternative away and makes
choice of the former.
