↔ i have found tolerance to be a principle ... ↔

... that not only strengthens my own recovery, but also my relationships with individuals who are a source of irritation to me.
and some days, well in fact many days, i seem to run across hordes of these individuals, both in and out of the rooms of my fellowship. the principle of tolerance, at least for this addict, needs to be practiced outside the rooms as well as inside. i know the reading was about accepting and tolerating my fellow travelers as they are at this slice in time, by remembering that i too, am quite less than perfect. that even my stellar program could use a bit of polish. that even i need to get off my spiritual duff and do a bit of step work, if i want more in my life than i already have achieved. and that even i hold on and act out on my remaining character defects until the pain of doing so is too great for me to bear.
so my task today is to walk through this day with as much tolerance as i can muster and the least amount of being judgmental. and that is more than enough for one day!
