when that time comes, i take a deep breath, say a prayer, and apply the principles my program has given me: honesty, openness, responsibility, forgiveness, trust, and all the rest.
or so the theory goes. ;)honestly, i would rather never resolve conflict, i am still more than a bit enamored with the idea of walking away forever, you know just "ex-ing" that person or institution from my life so i NEVER, EVER have to resolve what ever conflict may have come up.
the reality of the situation is however fond i am of running away from these kind of situations, the only way for me to continue to grow into the kind of person GOD has always intended me to be, is to face the situation, discuss the source of conflict in as calm and rational manner as i can, forgive the other party if necessary and clean up any damage that i may have inflicted with my less than stellar behavior. simple, n’est-ce pas? mais oui but never easy. so off to the celebration of the conflict that got this whole place off and running (the US that is) and appreciate the irony of thinking about conflict and irreconcilable difference on the anniversary of an event that started a long and drawn out conflict that created the country into which i was born.
