and meetings, i hear it said, ** the God of our understanding ** whatever that understanding may be.
so once again, i am thinking about the concept of a HIGHER POWER, and how my understanding of that concept has changed over the days i have been clean. i will not bore you by repeating what i have said many times before, nor will i lunch into some tirade about how necessary finding some concept was and remains to this day, so vital for my recovery.
i am led down the path of recognizing what that POWER is in my life right here and right now, and the term GOD is hardly a good fit for me. my discomfort level with the word GOD and all that word implies, is very low theses days, because i know when i am using that particular word, it is short for THE POWER THAT KEEPS ME CLEAN AND PROVIDES FOR ALL MY NEEDS. while it is quite true that every time i name that POWER i could use the full name, i am a lazy slob, so i substitute a word that comes close, and conveys a meaning to those with whom i am sharing that is similar in nature to mine. no i do not believe nor desire everyone to think like i do, i am quite content to let them exercise their creative freedom in this endeavor, just as i was given that same opportunity many days ago.
so not a whole bunch more to say, it will be great to get back home and reconnected with the technology with which i have become dependent upon. it has been so strange to have a cell phone become an inert piece of machinery for the past two days but now that i consider that a bit, it really was a nice change of pace.
