i WILL USE that POWER to stay clean. some mornings i really dig, the ambiguity of the daily readings, on others, well not so much. today although the reading was strong and straight forward in its message, the quote i lifted for my seed was, well, more than a little weak and indeterminate.
be that as it may, the group and the fellowship was my entire concept of a HIGHER POWER way back when, as i had more than a few SERIOUS issues with this whole “GOD” gig. i am sorry if that offends anyone, but i am still not one of those “GOD” guys, i do however have and acknowledge that there is a HIGHER POWER and IT does fuel my recovery and provide for me the opportunity to GET everything i NEED today. the group and the fellowship are a HUGE part of that POWER and i can even use the word GOD to express the idea of the POWER that fuels my recovery, from time to time.none of that, disqualifies me from anything. in fact, i have come to believe that living in this solution, with a sense of wonderment about how i stay clean and where that POWER comes form, is not a bad place fr me to be. there is absolutely no mystery here, nor any sort of majesty, only the pure POWER that i NEED to live a program of active recovery. i leave all that other stuff, to those who desire it, me i am quite happy to live in the here and now, and it just is!
today that POWER sees fit to get me started early on a journey of one celebration after another. graduation breakfast, my first meeting in 10 days, graduation and then clean time anniversary of a friend. oh yes, i could have blown all of that off and worked over the weekend as well. today however i choose to be as one with the universe and grow with the flow, to put a little twist on a tried old bromide.
any, the day moves on, and so must i. it is a great day to be clean and moving forward in my recovery and YES allowing the POWER to fuel my recovery to take care of my will and my life, at least right here and right NOW!
