α a regular inventory Ω

kind of sounds like a commercial for some sort of digestive tract medicine.
full up of crap? try our REGULAR INVENTORY!
and after a moment of contemplation, i can see the point. one of the joys of a daily tenth step inventory, for me anyhow, is the purging of the toxic crap i have built up in my head over the course of living my life day to day. i know that i affect the lives of those i come in contact with, and sometimes not positively. a regular inventory helps me to correct those situations and provides me the incentive to amend my way of living, so i can become a positive influence on those whose lives i happen to touch.
more importantly for me, i have a tendency to beat myself up for not being perfect. especially in applying these spiritual principles to all my affairs. cleaning up my part is only one thing i need to do. my regular inventories also allows me to write about how i felt, what principles i did practice and gives me a chance to practice a bit of self forgiveness on a regular basis. i actually can see that i am doing better (or worse on some days) than i think i am. dealing with the effects of my life on my spiritual and emotional, health on a regular basis helps me to see where i am going and gives me a clue about how to get there. i am so grateful that i have a tool to deal with myself on a daily basis and take away some of the power that the part of me that i call the disease of addiction has.
