👾 a pointless exercise in suffering 👹
posted: Mon, Oct 1, 2018 11:00:59 AM
after all, i cause enough of my own pain, with little or no outside influences. all sorts of thing drive me to distraction and the pain of the consequences of my bad decisions, is the worse. the really big stick comes out, and beating myself soundly about the head and shoulders, berating myself for being so stupid and coming to believe i somehow deserved to get what i got. today, i find that disturbing behavior, well, unpalatable and something i need to drop by the side of the road and leave behind. the fraud that i got taken in by? well there is already an FBI investigation and the new company that just made the same offer, well i hope to put law enforcement on to them from the git go. maybe i will even get lucky and get to participate in a sting operation and rip their FVCKING hearts out. oops, got a bit worked up over that possibility, still got that payback mentality going on. ironically i got a call from those thieves this morning, but they chose not to leave a voice mail, i guess my shot across the bow was enough to rattle them.
anyhow, a bit of financial pain will only make me stronger, more frugal and help to realize that i do not NEED to live large, to be okay.

☯ The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao ☯
by Lao-Tse
Translated by James Legge
Book 1
1) The highest excellence is like (that of) water. The excellence
of water appears in its benefiting all things, and in its occupying,
without striving (to the contrary), the low place which all men dislike.
Hence (its way) is near to (that of) the Tao.
