when i share opens my heart to other addicts. it took a very long minute for me to see that. after all, why in the world would i let anyone in on what was going on inside of me? sitting here after being educated by a very pissed off motorist, i have to admit, that perhaps i was wrong to flip him off as he may have had the left turn arrow. all in all, his anger did not affect me, even though he drove around the block to yell at me from across the street then chased me down on his bicycle, because he was not finished yet. not sure what triggered him more the finger or my lack of response to his tirade. i hope he feels better, i sure do, after all, i got my run done, i did not stop running and i can admit that i may have been at fault. i will never know and in reality i do not care. i do appreciate the fact that he took fifteen minutes out of his day to educate on the two second interaction that we originally had.
so i messed up and lost my trend of thought. i know that there is still a part of me that wants to pretend that sharing what is going on inside, is weak and feeble. after an overdose death in the local fellowship this week, i know now more than ever, it is far weaker and much more feeble to keep it all bottled up on the inside.
