...can and do come true in recovery.
one of the greatest gifts that recovery has given me is the ability to dream and take the action necessary to realize those dreams.
however, i still have fear about succeeding and changing my comfortable rut and as a result i often do not take the action i need to to realize my dreams. then, of course, i have evidence that either the program does not work (for me) or that GOD is punishing me for my past behaviors. i do not want to own that FEAR prevents me from doing what i need to in order to succeed. i do not want to own that my laziness or lack of due diligence is why i am where i am. so i cast blame elsewhere,then i am not responsible for lack of success and i have yet another arrow in my quiver for self-abasement.
realizing this i should be angry at myself for allowing FEAR to deny me the things i desire, and you know what i am. i am p!ssed-off at the disease of addiction for robbing me of my future while using and holding me back in recovery.
... so i guess what i am trying to say is if i want to succeed, the only thing i need to do is let go of my FEAR, have a little FAITH and do the next right thing.
