of the big picture, is something i have to be okay with, these days. sure, i want a glimpse behind the curtains to see who is really running the show through all the smoke and mirrors, but all i get is glimmers of the TRUTH and even those hardly satisfy my curiosity. what really sucks is the issue i have been struggling with at work for the past week, was resolved in twenty minutes at the end of the day yesterday and that solution has provided me the template to move forward with the rest of my project. by slavishly believing i had the “answer” i was actually holding myself back. i will add that design pattern into my book of tricks and move on.
as i sat this morning, scenes that defy the laws of physics from the movie Die Harder kept popping off the stack. i am not certain why that was on m y m ind, when i could have been listening for glimpses of the “big picture.” my take-away from that experience is that maybe i was too focused on seeing what i thought i ought to be looking for and missing what i am actually supposed to understand today. so as one of my closest friends said all the time, for me today is a “life is a mystery day” and it is time for me to start unraveling it.
