may allow others to relate to my past, but my present-day, squeaky-clean powerlessness is more accurate message to carry. unlike some of my peers, this is something i live by, rather than pay lip service to: share what is currently going on in my life, even if it is a bit dark and spooky. i do not share for the newcomer and i do not sugar coat my current existence with platitudes, clichés or say it is all part of some divine plan. at his point in my recovery, any of that would feel at a minimum disingenuous. how and what my peers choose to share is up to them. my judgements about what and how they share belong in my head and are generally not safe to share with anyone, expect perhaps in this space that i own and control.
of course, my magnificent, magnifying mind keeps coming back to the issue with my team mate and if i have to take any responsibility for the sling he finds his ass within. one again, as i walked this morning, i came to the conclusion that telling my female teammate to say something, regardless of what may happen, was the absolute correct thing to do. i do not believe she would have, if i had told her that she was not only entitled to do so and she deserved to have a safe work place, free from sexual harassment. if it bothered her enough to bring it up to me, someone she trusts, then it certainly needed to be addressed on a higher level. NO ONE should have to work in an unsafe or uncomfortable workplace. while this might sound like a bit of rationalization and certainly justification to make myself feel better about the consequences, which i do not, at least i can say that doing the next correct thing, did not make me feel superior, better off or on some moral high ground. no i feel bad that someone who lives with his dog in his car may lose his job. what he did was his stuff. who he did it to was a coworker who deserves better. the part of me who thinks i am weak and feeble is using this as an evidence that i am no better than i ever was, after all, i suggested someone take action that has consequences. the part of me that know right from wrong sees that it WAS my responsibility to say something and the consequences, such as they are follow a pattern of behavior that was optional and for once it was not mine.
after seventy-two hours to marinate, i think i will just step away from sending off a missive to Black Rifle Coffee Company. it is not because i think it is wrong. it is not because i think no one would listen or care. it simply is because i do not care anymore. they simply lost a customer and as i move from angry hater to former customer, i can be okay at not having the last word. that in and of itself is strange and unusual for me, but i am going with it. i will drink the product they sent me. let go of the shabby treatment i experienced and allow the world to spin as it will. i know my motives were more of getting revenge on Christine, rather than actually addressing a problem. no matter how kind, courteous or professional my e-mail may have ended up, it would have been an opportunity to slag someone who i have now forgiven and will more than likely forget in a matter of days. i do not have the bandwidth or desire to live in resenting her, her company or my behavior. i stood up for what i believed i deserved and in the end got most f what i wanted. certainly more strange and unusual behavior for this addict today. 🤣🤣🤣
time to post this little ditty and prepare for my meeting with the scammer who wants to use my identity for some nefarious reasons of his own. thank you ChatGPT for pointing out what i might have gotten myself into to. just for today, i will remember that is it sounds too good to be true, it probably is something i need to avoid at all costs.
